Purina Pet Parade Costume Contest

Pets in the parade are judged based on their festive attire, and the best-dressed pets are named to the Court of Mystical Krewe of Barkus. After checking in at the Registration Tent at 12th and Allen, stop by the adjacent St. Louis Post-Dispatch judging tent to enter the contest. Then make sure to check out STLToday.com beginning the week of February 24th to see if your pet made the cut. Winners will be selected by popular vote over a two-week period, and everyone can vote for their favorite costumed pet once per day. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.

Register by 1:00 PM CT. Open to U.S. residents (excluding Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Florida, or any other jurisdiction where prohibited) who are 18 or older at the time of entry. Three (3) winners will be selected by valid public vote. Restrictions and limitations may apply. See Official Rules at STLToday.com/contests.

What to Wear

Costumes are a fun way to celebrate the Purina Pet Parade. When choosing a costume for your pet, please keep the following in mind:

Though encouraged, costumes are not required for your pet to walk in the parade.

Avoid unsafe/uncomfortable costumes that could cause your pet to overheat.

Pick an easy-on, easy-off outfit that doesn’t constrict the head and neck.

No face/full-head coverings.
