How do I record a ringtone to submit to Purina?

You can record your dog or cat in any number of ways, including via a microphone connected to a PC, a cell phone, or portable devices such as a tape recorder or video camera. You must submit your recording in mp3 format. See our terms and conditions for submitting a ringtone.

How are Purina downloads delivered to my phone?

We'll send a text message to your phone after you choose your Purina download(s). Within this message, there will be a URL that you must select to download your ringtone or wallpaper. Your phone must be able to access the Internet to download any ringtones or wallpapers.

What happens when my phone receives the selected Purina ringtone or wallpaper via SMS message?

Your phone should automatically recognize the message. Although every phone model is different, you may be prompted to listen, view, load, download, delete or store the message. Simply follow the instructions on your phone.

How many Purina ringtones or wallpapers can I download?

From our perspective, as many as you like. However, the amount that you can download may vary by phone. Check your phone's manual or carrier's web site for more information.

If I select more than one Purina download, will I receive multiple text messages?

Yes. You will receive a text message for each item that you select.

Why do Purina ringtones sound better on some phones?

Purina ringtones are distributed in a few formats depending on what your phone can receive. In most phones, ringtones are delivered in mp3 format which will sound very clear. Some older phones (that cannot accept mp3 format) will receive AMR format ringtones which can vary in sound quality and volume.

Are all phones able to download new ringtones?

All phones included on Purina Downloads can download ringtones. The quality of the sound and volume can vary depending on what ringtone format your phone can receive.

I received an error message when I tried to download my Purina wallpaper / ringtones. What happened?

Your mobile phone might not be able to connect to the Internet connection. Please contact your service provider for more information.

How much do Purina downloads cost?

Purina offers tips, ringtones and wallpapers at no charge; however, your carrier may charge a fee for the download or the text message, depending on your service plan. Please check with your service provider for more information.
