Dr. Dennis Cloud from Cloud Veterinary Center joins host Victoria Babu in the studio to discuss Leptospirosis, a disease in dogs that is also communicable to people, and answer caller questions.
Show notes:
- Leptospirosis is not a new disease, but emerging strains are communicable to people.
- In the past, Leptospirosis was common only in rural animals. Increasingly, Dr. Cloud is seeing it in urban and suburban pets.
- Raccoons and rodents often spread this new strain of Leptospirosis.
- There is a canine vaccination for Leptospirosis.
- One of a caller's three cats is urinating outside the litter box. Which one is the culprit? What's causing the problem?
